This small non-profit farm site on the southern edge of Thornhill is pitched at walkers, cyclists, climbers and Duke of Edinburgh groups, though people arriving by vehicle are welcome too. Camp in the small paddock beside the car park, the large paddock or the Honey Field, which has a beehive at the top end.

Facilities are basic plus: toilets, hot showers and a cold-water outdoor sink for pots. Fire pits and barbecues are allowed; you pay to use one even if you bring your own. A separate Badger Field has Hope Valley views and higher prices.

Bookings are by phone. The site is down a track with a code gate for vehicles and a pedestrian gate.

  • Hot showers on a basic site
  • Views over the Hope Valley from Badger Field
  • Reduced rate for walkers and cyclists
