This Camping and Caravanning Club site sits on Hopping Lane next to Youlgreave, about five miles south of Bakewell inside the Peak District National Park. Pitches are grass or hardstanding, with and without electric hook-up, and there are larger pitches for big units.
There is deliberately no toilet or shower block, so you need a chemical toilet and your own washing arrangements. What it does have is a small shop, a play area, a motorhome service point, gas and ice-pack freezing, plus a dog walk.
Some pitches slope, so levelling ramps help, and the access road is narrow. There is a pub within a mile and a bus stop about a mile away; Matlock is the nearest station at eight miles.
