Tŷ Isaf sits on the Llangynog Road about two and a half miles outside Bala, within reach of Llyn Tegid. The main fields are flat and open, with electric hook-ups and fresh water points spread around them. A separate river field is for cars and tents only because of the low bridge on the way in, and it works for groups of kayakers, sailing clubs or anyone wanting to camp together.
Showers, toilets and a washing-up room are free to use, and there is a drying room for paddlers plus a children's play area. Awnings and barbecues are fine, and campfires are normally allowed in every field except the main caravan field, though they have been suspended during hot, dry spells. There is also a six-berth static caravan and seasonal pitches by arrangement.
