Tan Aeldroch is a 42-acre sheep farm run as a nature reserve, just off the Lledr river near Dolwyddelan. The main site is two flat fields beside the water, and it claims to be the closest campsite to the Fisherman's Walk. It is quiet by design: no radios or stereos, no large groups, and the last admission is 9pm.

There are four ways to camp. The main campsite has standpipes, toilets and showers. A bubble field gives one party sole use of ten pitches and a fire pit. A long-stay area has water, electricity and a compost toilet for tents left up for weeks. An eco field bans cars and you walk in from the main site for water and washing.

Campfires are allowed in the supplied fire rings only, using bagged wood (sold on site) rather than anything gathered from the farm. Dogs are welcome on a lead. The farm also lets a river cottage and a static chalet by the week.
