Dolgam Campsite

Riverside farm campsite on the A5 between Betws-y-Coed and Capel Curig, open all year, with tent pitches, hook-ups and two insulated sleeping huts.

  • No dogs

Dolgam is a working sheep and cattle farm on the bank of the Afon Llugwy at the Betws-y-Coed end of Capel Curig, with Moel Siabod filling the view. Walkers and climbers have stayed here for almost a century. The camping is on a level field for tents, campervans and motorhomes, with some hardstanding and electric hook-ups that need booking ahead. Caravans are not taken.

Washing facilities are in a converted stone farm building: toilets, hot showers, a washing room and a washing-up area, plus chemical and grey-water disposal. The two Chicken Coops are small insulated huts for two, a cross between a tent and a bunkhouse; bring your own bedding. Dogs, campfires and music are not allowed, and there is a strict quiet policy in the evening. The S1 and T10 Sherpa buses stop outside, handy for Pen y Pass and Ogwen. Bookings are by email.
