Cefn Cae is a family-run campsite on a Welsh-speaking hill farm in Rowen, a small village inside the Snowdonia National Park about three miles from Conwy. You reach it down a short lane beside the Ty Gwyn pub and across a farm track, so it feels tucked away.

It takes tents, tourers, motorhomes and trailer tents, with grass pitches and electric hook-up for some. The shower rooms are en-suite style, and there is a washing-up area, freezers and a laundry. The site keeps things calm: no music, no driving after 11pm, and no more than two pitches per booking. Campfires are not allowed, but raised barbecues are.

The pub is a short walk away and the site says there are more than ten walks from the gate. Conwy, Llandudno and the Snowdonia attractions are within easy driving distance.
