Quiet coastal site above Penmaenmawr with sea views, direct access to the North Wales Coast Path and pitches for tents, campervans and caravans.

See all 7 photos
  • Dogs welcome

Trwyn yr Wylfa (the name translates as watching point) sits on the hillside between Dwygyfylchi and Penmaenmawr, inside the edge of Snowdonia National Park and about two miles from the walled town of Conwy. Pitches look out over the sea one way and the Carneddau hills the other, and the coastal path starts close to the site.

There are hardstanding and gravel pitches with electric for caravans and motorhomes up to 7m, grass electric pitches for tents and VW-sized campervans, and non-electric grass pitches. The owners run it as a calm site for walkers, couples and families: no music, no day visitors, no campfires, and no driving or noise between 11pm and 7am. Bookings are capped at two pitches together, so large groups are not taken.

The toilet block has hot showers, separate men's and women's toilets, two family shower rooms and an accessible room, plus a washing-up area, chemical disposal, recycling, freezers and a coin-operated washer and dryer. Both villages nearby have pubs, shops and takeaways.

  • Sea views from many pitches
  • North Wales Coast Path and cycle routes from the site
  • Free hot showers and free freezer use
  • Quiet site: no music, no day visitors, no campfires
  • Two miles from Conwy
