Fforest Fields sits in the hills of Mid Wales near Hundred House, with its entrance on the A481 between Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells. The campsite is spread over two fields with gravel all-purpose pitches, hardstandings and grass pitches, some in the open with valley views and some tucked beside streams and hedges. Tracks and woodland trails lead from the pitches across the farm and up onto Aberedw Hill, and two lakes are open for swimming.
The facilities are better than the farm setting suggests: a heated toilet and shower block with free hot water, two family rooms, an accessible room, laundry, a drying room, fridges and freezers, and site-wide Wi-Fi. There is a 24-hour honesty shop in reception that sells firewood and hires fire pits, and a seasonal coffee shop and bar. Away from the tent field the farm lets glamping yurts beside the lake, a three-bedroom stone cottage and a two-bedroom lodge, all dog friendly.
- Lakes for wild swimming on the farm
- Free hot showers in a heated block, plus a drying room
- Walking trails straight from the pitch
- Yurts with log burners beside the lake
- 24-hour honesty shop with firewood
