Clumber Park Club Campsite sits on about 20 acres inside the 4,000-acre National Trust parkland that was once part of Sherwood Forest. There are 169 pitches, 118 on hardstanding, including 6 for tents. Non-members can book and it is open all year.
You can walk or cycle straight from the site onto signposted, flat paths, with more than 20 miles of trails, and there is a bike wash, maintenance station and secure cycle store. The site has a play area and the Major Oak and Sherwood Forest visitor centre are about 10 miles off.
The Club asks you not to arrive before 1pm because of National Trust parking restrictions, and to follow its directions via the A614, as other entrances can be locked or charge entry. Reception may close before 8pm, in which case check-in details are sent on the day.
