Fairview Farm is a family-run horse and sheep farm between Ravenshead and Blidworth, on the edge of Sherwood Forest. This is cabin accommodation only: there are no tent or caravan pitches. Fourteen self-catering cabins, chalets and lodges sleep from two to twelve, each with a fully equipped kitchen, a private outdoor area and its own fire pit. Several are step-free and wheelchair accessible.
Guests can walk a nature trail round the farm, meet the ponies, donkeys, sheep and pygmy goats, and book a free pony-pampering or goat-walking session. There is a games room with pool and air hockey, a social barn, a children's play area, a football field and two stargazing spots. Four of the larger cabins offer a wood-fired hot tub as an optional extra.
Most cabins take dogs for a flat fee per stay. Pubs and restaurants are within a quarter of a mile. The whole site can be hired for groups, and flexible stays of three nights or longer are offered at reduced nightly rates.
