Maythorne Caravan Site & Fishing Lakes

Maythorne is a small hamlet of converted mill and farm cottages just outside Southwell in Nottinghamshire, and the caravan site runs along the River Greet. Every pitch is a touring pitch on hardstanding, with electric hook-ups, and there are no seasonal pitches.

There is a toilet and shower block on site. Two fishing lakes belong to the hamlet, and The Old Lodge, a cafe-restaurant by one of the lakes, is a minute's walk from the pitches. The Southwell Trail, an old railway line, passes through and is good for walking and cycling to Southwell and Kirklington.

From September 2026 the site is adults only. Dogs are welcome on a lead, booking ahead is required, and you pay on arrival at Mulberry Cottage across the road. It is open from March to mid December.
