Milestone Caravan Park is a small touring park on the edge of Cromwell, five miles north of Newark and right by the A1 slip road, so it works as a stopover or a base for Lincoln, Nottingham and Southwell. It is run independently and also appears on the Caravan and Motorhome Club's list as an affiliated site. Non-members are welcome.
There are 80 touring pitches, 65 on hardstanding and the rest grass, all with 16-amp hook-up and screened by shrubs. Two heated toilet and shower blocks each include disabled facilities, and there is a laundry, pot-washing rooms, a motorhome service point and a late-arrivals area with hook-up. Two small lakes on site hold carp for fishing, and a dog walk runs round the park.
The Milestone microbrewery is next door with a beer garden, and food vans are usually in its forecourt in the evenings. A bus stop sits outside the entrance.
