Orchard Park is a small touring park on the edge of Tuxford, Nottinghamshire, laid out in a mature fruit orchard half a mile along Marnham Road. It takes tourers, motorhomes, trailer tents and tents on hardstanding or mixed pitches, and is handy for an overnight stop off the A1 as well as for longer stays around Sherwood Forest and the Dukeries.

The facilities block has free hot showers, hairdryers and washbasins, with a separate accessible room that can also be used by parents with small children. There is a laundry room, a free small freezer for ice blocks, a play trail on the edge of the orchard, a short dog-walk area and a nature walk through a deliberately wild corner. Reception sells eggs, milk, ice cream and sweets, and swaps Calor and Camping Gas bottles.

Prices cover two people, one vehicle, electric hook-up where available and an awning. Bookings are by phone only, 8.30am to 7.30pm, so the owners can match you to the right pitch. Tuxford itself is a mile and a half away with shops, takeaways and a windmill.
