Greenacres is a small, family-run park on Lincoln Road in Tuxford, between Newark and Retford. It takes tourers and tents alongside a field of static caravans, and the 4 acres are laid out with room around each pitch. It is strictly adults only, so it suits couples, anglers and anyone after a quiet stop on the way through Sherwood Forest country.
The toilet and shower block has been refurbished and is free to use, with a washing machine and tumble dryer inside. Electric hook-ups are on a standard 3-pin connection, wifi is free, and there is a barrier and CCTV at the entrance. The Fountain pub is a five minute walk and Tuxford village, with shops and a cash point, about ten. Dogs are welcome and there is a dog-walking field opposite. Bookings are by phone or through the site's enquiry form.
