Border Forest Holiday Park
Quiet, dog-friendly touring park on the edge of Kielder Forest near Otterburn, with electric pitches, two cottages and walkers' pods, and very dark night skies.

- Glamping
Border Forest sits at the end of a one-way road in the Northumberland hills, with Kielder Forest tracks starting from the park boundary. Tourers and motorhomes get electric pitches, and there are two designated dog-walking areas on site plus miles of forest walking beyond the gate.
It is a long way from anything. The nearest shop is in Otterburn, nine miles south, and the nearest pub is four miles away, so bring supplies. Solar panels and batteries now supply most of the park's power. Tents are not taken as a general rule: camping is for Pennine Way walkers only, in the pods or with a small backpacking tent.
