Highburn House Country Holiday Park
Family-run park a quarter mile from Wooler with grass and hardstanding touring pitches, a play area and walks straight onto Humbleton Hill.
See all 14 photos- Dogs welcome
Highburn House sits on the edge of Wooler, a few minutes' walk from the shops and pubs, with the Cheviot Hills behind it. Alongside privately owned holiday homes there is a touring and camping area with non-electric grass, electric grass and electric hardstanding pitches, partly bordered by trees. A river runs through the site and footpaths lead directly up onto Humbleton Hill.
It is run as a family park, so there is a strict no-groups rule, no campfires (raised barbecues are fine) and a 10pm noise curfew. Dogs are free and welcome on a lead, bearing in mind the sheep and cattle in the neighbouring fields. Reception has a small coffee shop, and there is a play area with a zip line, a laundrette and a free-shower block. Humbleton Falls, a three-bedroom cottage at the edge of the park, is let separately.
