Riverside sits on the banks of Wooler Water at the edge of Wooler, with the Cheviot hills behind and the Northumberland coast about half an hour away. It is a Verdant Leisure holiday park and open all year. Touring is on hardstanding pitches with electric, water and waste disposal beside each one, and tents are not accepted, though tent boxes are. Camping pods give a roof without pitching a tent, and you bring your own bedding.
Most of the park is holiday accommodation: caravans and lodges in several grades, some with hot tubs, plus a caravan designed for neurodiverse guests. The Canny Owl, the on-site bar and restaurant, has soft play, an arcade and games room, and a pool with a sauna and plunge pool. Up to three dogs can come on a touring stay at no extra charge, and there is fly fishing on site.
