Ruberslaw sits in 500 acres of upland above the Rule Water, not far from Denholm. It is for tents only; there are no motorhomes or trailer tents. You can pitch on terraced lawns in a restored Edwardian walled garden, where cars stay in the car park and trolleys carry your kit, or walk up to one of three woodland areas with around six marked pitches each. Every woodland pitch has its own firebowl with a grid for cooking and a bag of logs each night. A single-pitch hideaway, Gledswing Lookout, is for people who want proper solitude.
For glamping there are four large woodland safari tents with a king bedroom, a bunk room, a kitchen and a gas stove, and two smaller two-bed safari tents. Staff move your luggage for you. The Hub has a kitchen with freezers, a washing machine, heated-floor showers and a big fireplace. Dogs are welcome on leads for a small fee. It is about an hour's walk to the top of Ruberslaw Hill and a walk down to Denholm for lunch.
