Glentress Forest Lodges sits at the foot of Glentress Forest, just outside Peebles, close to the start of the 7stanes mountain bike trails and the Go Ape course. It is a low-cost base for riders and walkers, with a mix of timber pods, bell tents and plain camping and motorhome pitches.
There are 22 insulated pods in small clusters with vehicle access. Each has electric heating, lighting, a small fridge and sockets, sleeps up to five (seating converts to beds) and has its own fire pit; bring your own bedding. The bell tents have a wood-burning stove and two camp beds. Everyone, including campers, shares the toilet and shower block, communal kitchen, drying room and secure bike store.
Dogs are welcome in the pods, and the forest paths start close by. Peebles is a short drive away and Edinburgh around 45 minutes.
