Thames View is a 12-acre meadow on Princess Margaret Road in East Tilbury, between a nature reserve and Coalhouse Fort, with the river and sea wall alongside. Tent pitches are spread round the edge of the field, and every pitch has its own fire pit and picnic bench. There are also a few campervan and caravan pitches (no electric hook-ups) and two bell tents.

Toilets are composting, with hot LPG showers and a washing-up area, and there is an honesty-box camp store, app-enabled, for firewood and gas at any hour. The site is a Greener Camping Club member and is run as a quiet, family-oriented place: no generators, no commercial vehicles and no music. Dogs are welcome on a lead on camping pitches but not in the bell tents. London is reachable by the c2c line from East Tilbury station nearby.
