Barleylands campsite is a five-acre field on a working Essex farm estate that also holds a farm park, a craft village and an equestrian centre. The ground is level grass with areas of gravel hardstanding for caravans and motorhomes, and some pitches sit along the River Crouch. Billericay is about a seven-minute drive away.

Tents are charged per person, with under-16s staying free, while campervans, caravans and motorhomes pay by the pitch. Pitches 39 to 51 have 6 amp hook-ups, which suit camping appliances rather than heavy loads. There are two toilet and shower areas, and two Changing Places units for campers who need a hoist and changing bench. You can add a farm park visit if you stay two nights or more. The site is run for families, so groups of under-25s are not accepted and the person booking must be 21 or over.
