Swanage Bijou Camping at Kirkwood Park
Summer-only walk-in tent field on a golf park, seven minutes' flat walk from Swanage beach and town, with free hot showers and open fires allowed.

This is a temporary tent field run alongside the Swanage Golf Games course, open for about seven weeks in summer. It sits behind hedges at the edge of public parkland, and the walk across to Swanage's beach, pier, station and town centre is flat and takes around seven minutes, so most people leave the car alone for the whole stay.
There are no marked pitches: you choose a spot and group with friends. Cars park on grass up to 40m away from the tent field and wheelbarrows are provided for your kit, so it is not suitable if anyone struggles to walk over rough ground. Showers, electric sockets for charging, a fridge and a freezer are free. Fires and barbecues are allowed on a raised tray the site provides, and there is a bell-tent glamping option on a sister website. Payment is cash on arrival after a bank-transfer deposit; they do not take cards.
