Herston Yards Farm is on Washpond Lane on the edge of Swanage, in the Isle of Purbeck. It mixes camping and touring with a lot of accommodation you do not have to bring: about 50 bell tents, four shepherd huts and a set of log cabins, lodges and houses, some with private hot tubs.
Pitches come fully serviced (power, water, waste, on grass or hardstanding), grass with electric, or non-electric grass held for walk-ins in summer. The washrooms have been refurbished and include accessible facilities and baby changing. There is a shop and cafe; the bar and restaurant are closed while a pool, soft play and gym are built. Herston Halt on the Swanage steam railway is about five minutes on foot, and the coast and Studland beaches are a short drive.
