Knitson Farm Tourers Site
Low-density touring field on a working Purbeck dairy farm between Swanage and Corfe Castle, open for tourers and tents in the summer holidays only.

Knitson Farm is a working dairy, beef and sheep farm under Nine Barrow Down in the Isle of Purbeck, about a mile and a half from Swanage and four from Corfe Castle. The touring site covers four acres with plenty of room between pitches.
It is aimed at self-contained units: you need your own chemical toilet, washing facilities and a fire extinguisher, as there is no shower block listed. In 2026 it takes tourers, motorhomes and tents only from late July to early August, with seasonal pitches available from Easter to October on request. Dogs are fine under control and on leads. The lanes are narrow, so follow the farm's directions rather than the satnav.
