Southerness is a Parkdean Resorts holiday park on the Solway Firth, at the edge of Powillimount Beach and about half an hour from Dumfries. Alongside the caravans and lodges to rent there are touring and camping pitches, and some dog-friendly accommodation.
The park has an indoor pool with a waterslide, a nature trail, an amusement arcade, a takeaway and a bar and restaurant with live entertainment in the evenings. Galloway Forest Park is about an hour away.
