Stanwix Park sits at Greenrow, just outside the Victorian seaside town of Silloth on the Solway Firth. Alongside the caravan holiday homes and apartments there is a touring field called Criffel, where every pitch is fine-gravel hardstanding with electric, water, waste and chemical disposal. A camper's kitchen with hobs and microwaves, a laundry and two toilet blocks with baths as well as showers keep it comfortable for tents as well as vans.

Four camping pods on Criffel give a roof without the bedding: bring your own beds and cooking gear. The park's leisure centre has indoor and outdoor pools, and there is a bowling alley, a cafe and shop, and evening entertainment from March to November. A second, quieter touring ground, Hylton Park, is under a mile away in Silloth itself.
