Marthrown of Mabie sits in Mabie Forest outside Dumfries and runs as a glamping site, tent field and venue for weddings and mini festivals. Three yurts, an Iron Age-style roundhouse that sleeps 16 and two holiday cottages are let by the night. The yurts have woodburners, fridge-freezers, kitchens and power showers, and everything is dog friendly.
The tent field has space for 25 pitches among trees, with shared toilets, showers and a washing-up area. A covered barbecue area, self-catering kitchens and a games and dining room are shared. A wood-fired hot tub and sauna exist but are only available for larger events. The site is also popular for the Mabie 7stanes mountain bike trails.
