Newby Bridge Country Caravan Park is tucked into woodland a short drive from the southern end of Windermere and the village of Cartmel. It is run by Lake District Estates, and is mainly a place to rent a holiday home rather than pitch your own tent or van: the lettings are two and three-bedroom static caravans in three grades, two lodges, a Lakeland cottage and Hive glamping cabins, one of them dog-friendly.
Most stays start on any day except Wednesday or Sunday with a three-night minimum. The park has a playground, a laundry room and reception open 9am to 5pm, and mobile signal is generally good although the Wi-Fi is only fit for email and browsing. Prices appear only in the online booking search.
