The Fox and Hounds is a family-run hotel on the western edge of Dartmoor, on the A386 between Okehampton and Tavistock. The camping area sits behind the hotel with a track leading straight onto the moor, and a children's play area next to it. Touring pitches have hook-up and service points, and a shower block has toilets and showers.
The hotel has two bars, a restaurant and a games room, so food and a pint are a few steps away. The 118 bus stops outside (not Sundays), connecting Okehampton, Lydford and Tavistock. A YHA-affiliated camping barn sleeping 10 is also on site.
