  • Dogs welcome
  • Glamping

Langstone Manor sits in a wooded valley just outside Tavistock, on the western edge of Dartmoor National Park. It grew out of a Victorian manor house that became a campsite in the 1960s and has been run by the same couple since 1999. The 40 touring and tent pitches are terraced and level, split between the old walled garden and a field with long moor views, and a mix of grass and hardstanding.

The park also lets three sizes of camping pod, two-bedroom static caravans, two three-bedroom cottages and a flat in the manor house, so a mixed group can all stay in one place. The shower block is modern and heated, and there is a laundry, a play area and a games room in the manor. It holds a David Bellamy conservation award, and there is a cheaper pitch rate if you arrive on foot or by bike. Dogs are welcome on a lead but are expected to be walked off the park.

  • Terraced pitches in a walled garden or a field with moor views
  • Cheaper green tariff for guests arriving on foot or by bike
  • Camping pods from £45 a night, some with their own toilet
  • Dartmoor walks from the park, Tavistock a short drive
  • David Bellamy Gold conservation award
