Carsington Water is a Caravan and Motorhome Club site of 105 pitches, 96 of them hardstanding, in clearings between pine trees that give a good deal of privacy. Non-members can book. There is a playground and a dog walk on site, a drying room, and a motorhome service point.

Carsington Reservoir is a 15-minute walk away, with fishing, sailing, windsurfing and a children's playground, and bikes can be hired at its visitor centre. The Monsal and Tissington Trails are about six miles off, Dovedale is within reach, and village pubs are two to three miles away.
