Common End Farm is a compact 1.8-acre sloping field at Swinscoe, a few miles from Ashbourne and on the edge of the southern Peak District. Views stretch across the fields towards Thorpe Cloud and Dovedale. There are about 30 pitches in the main field, with 8 ten-amp and 14 six-amp hook-ups, and a large overflow field of non-electric pitches that suits groups.
Toilets and showers are in a converted stone barn, with separate ladies and gents and some unisex cubicles, and showers and hot water in the pot-wash area cost nothing. Two dogs per pitch are welcome, with a dog-walking field, and you can hire a fire basket with logs and kindling. It is a family site with strict noise rules and a no-day-visitors policy on summer weekends.
