Lower Micklin is a 30-pitch family-run park on a farm on the B5032 between Alton and Denstone, about two miles from Alton Towers by road. Every pitch has electric: 10 large hardstanding pitches with water and waste, 7 smaller hardstandings for caravans and motorhomes, 4 big grass pitches for large tents, and 9 standard grass pitches for tents only. A ready-erected bell tent with a made-up double bed can be hired too.

There is a heated shower block with a family bathroom and baby changing, covered washing-up sinks, a motorhome waste point, an EV charger, a play area and a separate ball field, and free wifi that varies in speed. Alpacas, hens and guinea pigs live on the farm. A footpath through the farm joins the Staffordshire Way and the Churnet Valley Trail, and Alton has four pubs about half a mile away. The farm's three self-catering cottages are run separately.
