The Laurels is a family-run park at Whitecross, about two miles from Wadebridge and six from Padstow. Pitches are separated by hedges, with electric on the Gold pitches and a few non-electric Silver grass pitches. Gravel pitches take motorhomes and caravans all year; the grass pitches open from May to September.

The site is compact and tidy, with a toilet and shower block, launderette, covered washing-up sinks, a communal freezer for ice packs, free wifi and a play park with trampoline. Dogs are welcome (up to two a pitch) and have a small fenced run. Fire pits can be hired or brought along, and the Camel Trail is reachable by a bridle path and lanes.

The A39 runs alongside and you will hear it, which the owners say plainly. There is a 5m bell tent with bedding and towels supplied, and three self-catering cottages let separately. Groups need to ask first, and stag and hen parties are not accepted.
