Dogs welcome

Reraig sits on the mainland side of the Skye Bridge near Balmacara, about ten minutes from the bridge, five from Eilean Donan Castle and fifteen from Plockton. That makes it a handy NC500 stop as well as a base for Skye and Lochalsh. Most pitches are gravel hardstandings with a 16A electric socket for motorhomes, campervans and caravans, either single width up to 7.5m or double width up to 8m. Tents go on a small number of grass pitches with parking on the gravel next to them, and tents are limited to 5m x 3m.

Camping is run to tight rules: one sleeping unit per pitch, no groundsheets under awnings, no campfires, barbecues only on the hardstandings, and quiet time from 10pm to 7am when the site is closed to vehicles. Dogs are welcome on a lead. A food van serves on site. Passers-by can pay to use the water, waste and recycling service point without staying.
