Lamb Cottage is a quiet, well-kept touring park down Dalefords Lane near Whitegate, outside Northwich. Nobody under 18 is allowed, which gives it a calm, grown-up feel. Touring pitches are for caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents; tents are not mentioned in its pitch list.

The 41 'super' pitches each have hardstanding for the car, van and awning, with a lawn either side, plus 16 amp electric, a water tap and a waste drain. There is also an American motorhome and fifth-wheeler pitch. Static caravans on the park are privately owned rather than let.

The amenity building is centrally heated with en-suite style shower rooms, free hot water and showers, a laundry and a disabled suite. A short woodland dog walk is on site and there is more walking in the Forestry Commission woods across the road.
