This is a no-frills touring park in Rakewood, just above Hollingworth Lake and a few minutes from Littleborough, with the M62 about three miles away. Caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents (up to a six-person tent) all pay the same per-pitch rate, with a cheaper price if you skip the electric hook-up. Backpackers on foot or bike can book a small tent pitch for less.

A new reception and shower and toilet block opened recently. There is a barbecue area, a wash-up area, gas supplies and a mix of grass and hard standing. It is a quiet site with a 5 mph limit, a 10pm to 7am quiet period and no fires or fire pits, and payment is in cash on arrival. The lakeside cafes, pubs and a riding school are a short way off.
