Crowden Campsite

Crowden is a Club-run touring field in the Longdendale valley, about six miles north-east of Glossop. Hills rise on most sides and some pitches look out over them. It takes tents, caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and rooftop tents.
Pitches are a mix of grass and hardstanding, with and without electric, plus larger jumbo grass pitches and a few fully serviced hardstandings. There is a small shop, washing machines, a drying room and a parent and baby room, handy after a wet day on the tops.
The Pennine Way runs close to the site, and walkers arriving on foot are always found a pitch for the night. Mobile signal is limited and there is no TV reception.
