Embers Turners Hill is one of eight sites run by Embers Camping, set in a large field on the Standinghall Estate, a 1,000-acre block of ancient woodland in the High Weald. It is tent-only and cars stay in a car park, so the camping field is free of traffic and there is room for ball games.
You can pitch your own tent on a 10m by 10m grass pitch or book a pre-pitched bell tent or safari tent. Every pitch gets a fire basket that can double as a barbecue with a grill. The cafe and bar sells coffee, snacks, draught beer and wine, and stone-fired pizzas are pre-ordered before arrival.
Woodland trails start from the site, and Ardingly Reservoir, Go Ape and the Ashdown Forest are a short drive away. Dogs are not allowed on this site.
