Brighouse Bay is the flagship of a small Galloway group of four holiday parks, set on the coast near Borgue and Kirkcudbright. Touring and camping pitches come in several types: plain grass or gravel, grass tent pitches, hardstanding with electric and TV hook-up, and fully serviced pitches with water and drain. Some are wider for wheelchair users, and you can even camp under the park's Gloster Meteor jet.
For a roof over your head there are glamping pods with their own toilet and sink (sleeping up to five), camping pods without a toilet, holiday caravans, wooden lodges (some with hot tubs) and Old Mill Cottage, a converted watermill that sleeps eight.
The leisure club is the hub, with a lounge bar, an indoor heated pool and toddler pool and an amusement room. There are two play areas, mountain bike trails, an all-tide slipway, a licensed shop and an 18-hole coastal golf course alongside. Dogs are welcome on a lead but not on the golf course, pitch and putt or bike trails.
