- Glamping
Bank Top is a small family-run camping and caravan field at Rawcliffe Bank Top Farm, about five miles north of Pickering. The pitches run around the edge of a big south-facing grass field with views over the Vale of Pickering, and every one has an electric hook-up. A smaller paddock suits groups.
The owners keep hens and bees, and sell eggs, honey, venison burgers and ice cream from the on-site cafe along with coffee and cold drinks. The toilet block has underfloor heating, free showers, a family room and disabled facilities, plus a laundry room with a fridge and freezer.
Quiet is taken seriously here, with nothing after 10pm. Footpaths lead straight from the site into local woodland, and Dalby Forest is about 20 minutes away by car. Two renovated stone barns and a simple wooden pod for walkers and cyclists are also available.
- 30 grass pitches, all with electric hook-up
- Heated toilet block with free showers
- On-site cafe with eggs, honey and ice cream
- Footpaths into woodland from the gate
- Strict quiet hours from 10pm
