High Farm is the last property on a dead-end lane above Beadlam Rigg, a few miles from Helmsley, so the only traffic is the odd tractor. The touring field is half an acre of level lawn with views south and west over Ryedale, reached through wide double gates. It takes up to five units, mostly on grass, with two hardstandings that can be requested when booking and are the only pitches used in winter.

Facilities are modest but handy: metered 10 amp hook-ups, a small toilet and shower room, chemical disposal, free wifi and good phone signal. The shower room is drained down for the winter. Tents are not taken (only a small pup tent beside a caravan). Walking and cycling routes start at the gate, and the farm sits inside the North York Moors dark skies reserve. The family also let a barn-conversion cottage with a wood-fired hot tub and a two-bedroom holiday caravan.
