Grouse Hill sits in a south-facing valley between Whitby and Scarborough, tucked off the A171 and a few miles from Robin Hood's Bay. The Butterfield family has run it since 1978. Pitches are spread over about 14 acres with views over wooded valley and heather moor, and there is a forest lake and woodland walking from the park.

Touring caravans, motorhomes and tents use allocated pitches, some of them hardstanding with 10 amp hook-ups. There are also twelve heated wooden glamping cabins (four with their own toilet and sink, eight larger ones that use the site shower blocks) and one holiday home that lets by the week.

On site you get a shop, laundry, gas exchange, ice pack freezing, a play area and a sports field, and there is a pub about ten minutes away on foot. Dogs are welcome on a lead, and the park says to ask about its pet policy when booking.
