Hooks House Farm is a working farm on the B1447 between Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay, run by the Halder family. The campsite is small and quiet, with tent, tourer and motorhome pitches that all look out over the bay towards Ravenscar. Some pitches have low-wattage electric hook-ups.

A footpath through the field reaches Robin Hood's Bay in about ten minutes, with two general stores and several pubs close by, and the Whitby to Scarborough bus stops outside the farm. Campfires are banned outright and gazebos are not allowed; barbecues are fine if raised off the grass. The farm also lets a three-bedroom cottage and a four-berth static caravan.

Booking is by telephone only, with a non-refundable deposit.
