Wray Valley is a small, tent-only site between Lustleigh and Moretonhampstead on the A382, run alongside a B&B by the same owners. The ten-acre grounds include a county wildlife site, and there is a back path down through the woods and over a footbridge to the Wray Valley Trail, so walkers and cyclists can arrive without touching the main road. You park at the top and carry or barrow your kit down, which keeps the pitches quiet and car-free.

There are two styles of camping. The Hay Meadow has six large terraced pitches on a slope down to the river, open April to October. The Nearly Wild pitches sit in the riverside woodland, open all year (winter dates go to members of the owners' Nearly Wild Camping Club): three small pitches priced per person, one large pitch, and spots for hammocks. For a roof without bringing a tent there are bunk-bed bothies in the old stables, which have a log burner and solar lighting but no mains power.

Two family-sized wet rooms and a flush toilet are shared by everyone, plus a compost toilet, a small campers' kitchen with kettle and microwave, and filtered borehole drinking water. Raised BBQs and fire pits are fine, logs are sold from the woodland, and dogs stay free. There are no hook-ups, and campervans, motorhomes, caravans and roof tents are not allowed.
