Barley Meadow Touring Park

Small adults-only touring park on the northern edge of Dartmoor, 52 pitches, a dog run and quick access to the A30 and Castle Drogo.

See all 14 photos
  • Dogs welcome
  • Adults only

Barley Meadow is a compact, tidy touring park with 52 pitches on about four acres inside Dartmoor National Park, just off the old A30 near Crockernwell. It is adults only (18+), so it suits couples and walkers looking for quiet rather than a family site, and there are no play areas or ball games.

Pitches range from fully serviced hardstandings with their own electric, fresh water and waste connection, through plain hardstanding and grass for tents, trailer tents and small vans, to six Aires-style motorhome stopover bays and two tiny backpacker pitches. Rigs are limited to 8m, so American RVs and big commercial motorhomes are turned away.

On site there is a shop, a campers' room called the Bothy with a fridge, freezer and games, free wifi, a 7kW EV charger, and a fenced dog run with views towards Drewsteignton. The Two Moors Way is close, Castle Drogo and Fingle Bridge are a short drive, and a request-stop bus runs from the gate towards Exeter. Expect some road noise from the old A30.
