Walnut Tree Farm is an organic farm in the village of Regil, between Chew Valley Lake and Blagdon Lake in North Somerset. The camping field takes tents and small campervans of VW size, with no caravans and no dogs, and there is an adults-only field if you ask. Campers get hot showers, compost loos, and a fridge and freezer to share.
The two shepherd's huts, Gandalf and Hobbit, sit at opposite ends of a five-acre field with stable doors that open onto the Somerset hills. Each has a woodstove, a double bed, a gas hob and a coolbox, with a compost loo 25 metres away and showers 150 metres off. There is also a two-bedroom bunkhouse. Bristol Airport is four miles away and planes can be heard when the wind is wrong. Everything is booked by phone with Mike.
