The Lorax Patch is a small smallholding just outside Wells where the owners grow vegetables and fruit and keep chickens, sheep, pigs, pygmy goats and turkeys. Camping is deliberately basic, for tents and campervans, with campfires and quiet nights.
There is also a high-specification shepherd's hut that is let all year, and a second glamping unit is planned. Dogs are not accepted because of the livestock in the neighbouring fields. Bookings are by phone or email.
