Thetford Forest is a Caravan and Motorhome Club site in Forestry Commission woodland near Hilborough, with 79 touring pitches, 37 of them hardstanding, set in open glades. Non-members can book. The Club notes there is no toilet block, so it suits self-contained vans. It is also known as The Covert.
Deer are often seen early in the morning and the forest has a Desert Rats memorial and guided trail. High Lodge Forest Park is a good day out with children, Swaffham is about seven miles away for Tesco and Waitrose, and Mundford, two miles off, has a butcher and grocer. There is secure all-year caravan storage on site.
