Fen View Lakes is an 18-acre fishing retreat on Head Fen Drove at Little Downham, on the edge of the fens a short drive from Ely. Guests can fish the on-site lakes, and the lodges are mostly built around them, with hot tubs, decking and in some cases a private peg at the water's edge.

Most people come for the lodges, but there is also a small grass field for caravans and motorhomes with extra-wide pitches, electric hook-ups, a toilet and shower block and use of the fishing lakes. Tents are not mentioned on the booking pages, so ask before turning up with one.

The land is flat and open, with big skies, little light pollution and quiet lanes for walking and cycling. Welney wetland reserve is close by, and Little Downham has two pubs and a small shop.
